CEE has successfully organized TRIZ Carnival 2015 between 30 March 2015 – 1 April 2015 at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. TRIZ is the acronym of Theory of Inventive Problem Solving in Russian language. During this carnival, a few workshops, a forum and an exhibition were conducted. TRIZ Level 1 training were conducted by the Malaysian TRIZ Society for more than 120 participants from various companies and universities. Special workshops for Open Problem Solving were also conducted for 200 secondary school students. Petrosains held an exhibition during the carnival with exhibits that requires creative problem solving skills. Together with CREST, UTM Centre for Student Innovation organized the Great Lab for engineering students to generate innovative engineering solutions for everyday problems.
And finally a forum on “Engineering Complex Problem Solving from Industries’ Perspective” was organized with Society of Engineering Education Malaysia (SEEM). The forum panels were Sharifah Zaidah Syed Ibrahim, MMC Oil & Gas Engineering Sdn. Bhd., Zulhasni Abdul Rahim, Proton Holdings Bhd., Yeoh Tay-Jin, Intel, Dr. Nor Azmi Alias, CREST & Prof. Dato Ir. Dr. Wan Hamidon Wan Badaruzzaman, EAC.
